I'm delighted to tell you that Black Spot has been discharged from the vet - stitches out, 3-week-old skanky surgical collar off, all meds finished, hurral!

The first thing he did was to dash out into the garden, and roll in a particularly gritty dirty patch of gravel.... :-)

Oh bless him !! Revenge !! My darling furr ball tore out into the garden and scrubbed his face in the dirt after I'd syringed out his abscess but luckily it was on his face and didn't take long to heal

Do hope Black Spot stays good from now on xx

He needs to stay away from other cats who bite his bum, and we still don't know whodunnit....
His wound sounded nasty - bet he is glad that he is all mended and can get out and have a scrap or two with the boys.

Frankie has been told to lose weight - he is 5.5kg. A friend's cat in Belfast is 8.5kg - ex-feral cat, castrated late in life and bulked out. It is nice to see pictures of him lying on a sofa.

It has gone quiet here in the last few minutes - never a good sign.

wolf - No. 1 Son is over 6kg. After many years of saying he's a big cat (and I can nearly still feel his ribs) the vet now says he's fat. He can still shift pretty fast if he needs to.
He is a big brute. Frankie has always been about 5kg so the extra half a kilogram is from the last couple of years.

I bought the indoor dried food (diet food) to mix in with their dried food and have cut down the sachets. But I think that he has been stealing food from Merlin, she isn't bothered and wanders off.

We tried to get Merlin weighed and claws clipped at the vet - she was slightly upset. She totally lost the plot and was out for blood, they tried muzzling her etc but we just gave up. She can be a total bitch sometimes.

Cats!!!!!
