"Krypton Tuning - only 25", " Engine Tuning only 20"...I see these ads everywhere, but will getting an engine tuned improve its performance/ MPG? Is it worth the money and what exactly happens when an engine is 'tuned'? Much appreciated!

It's a long time since I had this done, about 45 years ago! they had just come out then!

I had bought an old car that was not running very well so I paid about 20 which must have been a lot more money then.

The krypton tune up made a big difference, the car ran perfectly.

These tune ups check electronically the plugs, points, carburetta petrol mixture, etc. I think you will only feel a difference with older cars as more modern cars can really only be tuned by the dealers garage as they need more expensive diagnostic equipment than the cheap tune up people use.
