My son has completed a module for an NVQ. it is in pdf format. when he saves the form the answers disappear. he has to send it to the verifier via email.

Can anyone help with saving the completed form and sending it.

Not all pdf files can be saved, if they have been set up in a format where you can type into them but not change the document. Can he print off the form with the text showing, then scan it and email it to the verifier?

Also, it's sometimes worth checking - I've opened documents lately and you have the choice of a pdf or a Word version. If you opt for Word you can save the changes.

argggh no ink in the printer!!

I'll have a look if I can convert it to word. I hate technology lol
One possible problem, though. If the PDF is in the format which includes form fields, the recipient may be expecting to open the completed PDF and read the contents of those form fields straight into a database or something similar. In which case, no scanning / conversion workaround will work.

We opened it in adobe reader which allowed him to save a completed file. so hopefully it will still be completed when we send it!
fingers crossed

Thank you all
Agree, jeffa - but then surely there's usually a submit button under those circs, to send the form on-line?
