Does anyone still supply soft drinks like Lemonade or Ginger beer in those old earthenware jars....they used to hold about a gallon.I seem to remember them being delivered to my parents house when I was a kid.

(That was in the days when you could go off to the pub with sixpence ,have five pints and still come back with a penny-farthing.........whosever it belonged to ! )

Another question...can you still buy Greengage jam?

Greengage jam here: http://web.ukonline.co.uk/vivmac/larder.htm or here: http://www.cheese-n-pickle.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=24&osCsid=d9b862f67d52c4222e7de0b617c42029

Greengage is a very seasonal fruit - look for 'fresh' jam in the autummn at your local farmers markets, or ask makers at one now if they have any stock.

Not stone bottles, but certainly old fashioned soft drinks company, Fentimans - http://www.botanically-brewed-soft-drinks.co.uk/
