Faced with two possible answers of true or false, I have put true as the answers to the following questions. Am I correct please?

1. Refusing to obtain medical treatment for a sick child is abuse.
2. Giving a child alcohol is abuse.
3. Parental stress can increase levels of child abuse
4. Social Services can apply for a court order for permission to place a child in care.

When we are dealing with complex issues like this, bald yes/no answers based on insufficient evidence in the question is next to useless.

Especially when the wrong decision can tear a family apart.

Jno - the answer to question 4 was true
Sorry Muskox I wondered if this were safeguarding

1, 3 and 4

2 - no - giving a 15 1/2 y o is clearly not abuse so 2 scores false

I wondered if this were law: 1 is covered by R v Senior 1889,
so is a crime by itself and I wondered if the law tutors wanted you to identify that ( no they dont, this is safeguarding and not law )

I was gonna say that these arent very good questions
but if they are used for discussion and not assessment then they're OK

Everyone has to grapple with the MCQ question - are dogs black ?
well some of them are so answer yes !
but not all of them are so answer no !
o god what is the blo+dy answer.

anyway good luck
