I've just googled a few sites and this seems opposite to other people's experience, they have been constipated after giving up, due to the removal of nicotine from the body. Try googling "stopping smoking bowels" as I did, and see what comes up.

The two may be completely unrelated, in which case you might want to check with your GP.
Do you drink tea/coffee? Cigs and caffeine are diuretics....
This is a well known result of giving up smoking.........an alteration in bowel habits......constipation OR loose stools.

Give it another 4 weeks and if it continues, then see your GP.

ok will give it bit longer and see what happens. at start I was constipated but then its gone from that to very loose. but will give it bit longer and see what happens. just it bit annoying, but guess it still better then smoking lol. thanks all and will give bit longer and see gp if doesn't change
Look at it as your body getting rid of a long term build-up of poisonous nicotine.

yes will do I guess there lot to get rid of as been smoking since I was 15 and im 38 now. so I guess it all in the course of stopping. but if it don't ease up ill go see a gp just to double cck all ok etc . thanks all for your help. I do drink tea but not much. but for a bit ill stick to water and decent food for while see if that helps out abit to
well done, you, too, on quitting your addiction!
this Q has the worst headline...

Yes, I've heard other people say this; you've dramatically changed what you've put into your body, so it will r eact.
yes, I wanted to make a joke re the headline but I'm trying to give it up.
Put up with these comparatively minor problems.

Packing up the fags will turn out to be one of the best things you've ever done. I'm off them nearly 11 years now and have never regretted it.
Just wanted to add my congratulations to the OP, and as others already said, whatever bowel inconvenience you have at the moment is nothing to worry about, compared with not giving up!

I was really lucky - I quit back in 1989, after smoking for about 27 years, and the worst side effect was putting on about 10 lb of body weight, but that came off again when I retired from a rather sedentary job. One surprise that I got during the first year may be worth forewarning you about - many months after I'd stopped, I visited a place that I had last been to when I still smoked, and the craving suddenly hit me again!
Have you been sucking sugar free mints to help ward off cravings? Some of them have a warning that eating too many can have a laxative effect.
