Why was nothing done then? Was it through fear of someone using the 'R' card? Also, during a parent/public meeting the atmosphere was 'aggressive and intimidating', allegedly.
Where have I heard that terminology used in the last couple of days?
And no mikey, this is not a Muslim bashing thread, it's just a discussion as it's in the news and is topical.

For the same reason everything else has been ignored or brushed aside for years. Gate, horse, bolted.
Inertia prevails in public and private.

I am sure to start with they were subtle enough to keep under the radar of officialdom. It was the keen eye of a different school head that noticed and reported it. I bet he was 'kept an eye' on as a potential racist though. Even if no one admits it.

Was it lazyness, incompetance or fear of the pc racist card being called? Probably all three and a few others I can't think of right now.

Lesseons probably won't be learnt, they never are when people are too frightened of being called racist or the pc zealots and liberal left have pushed through their idea of a eutopian society on everyone.

I suspect you are referring to the recent Tower Hamlet's voting fiasco, but this intimidating aggressiveness isn't used solely by the Muslim communities, it is also used with great effect by the black communities.
Something most definitely should have been done prior to this. I'm all for very acute action when people's rights are trampled over as they have been here.
"Why was nothing done then?" - Fear.

Islamophobic, racist, fascist, bigot - just a few of many words that could have been used as a 'statutory' defence here.
Funny way to islamify one of the schools in question by appointing a ........s..i...k...h...... headteacher ..................................................
