My Mum's boiler has packed in after 12 years good service. She has had a plumber in who has quoted her £1575 inc VAT for a Ferroli Combi. Her previous one was a Glowworm. We have both researched the Ferrolli and to be honest we have not been convinced.

I have recommended my Mum bites the bullet and springs for a Worcester or Valiant, any thoughts or experiences from you guys would be much appreciated

had a glowworm combi installed 6 months ago plus 4 new rads come to £2000 well happy

I've just fitted Ariston Combis to two of my rentals, got them in a couple of others, never ha a problem with them, I paid under £2k for each.

HAD not HA^^^^^ fgs
keep away from British gas rip off merchants! wanted nearly £5000 for same job crooks
Have had a Vailiant for 10years plus.

Never missed a beat.
There also are currently grants available from the government, I think they are called the 'green scheme' or something like that, maybe worth a look.
I had a new Worcester 2 years ago for £1500 incl Vat & Fitted.
Could she possibly me eligible for a free boiler on these schemes???
Mikrofil/Ethos..has a stainless steel exchanger.Flow rates are top class and very reliable. Will beat the Worcester hands down imo.
As with a lot of other people, I'm not convinced about Ferrolis either. They always seem far too cheap to me. That's reflected in your quote as well.

I'd expect to pay over £2,000 for a boiler replacement.
As per the two posters just above.
Not worth scrimping on the boiler when such a large proportion of the total cost is Labour.
