How would you phrase the question? What would you put as the answers, for example?
We've run two of these polls in the last 12 months I think. I'm happy to do it again - but it might be considered a little over represented.
how would you ensure only those eligible voted?

To balance the books a bit, can you please run a Poll for the English on here, to see what we think, just to test the water?

I would word the poll ther same as the actual referendum. I cannot see anyway other than leaving it to people's honesty as to who should vote. I also would like a sister poll for those outwith Scotland living in the UK just to see their response and maybe one for Europe and even the rest of the world. Difficult I know - but interesting surely.
what a good idea, but could it work. ?
Just have one poll.

I am Scottish yes to Independence.

I am Scottish no to Independence.

I am Welsh yes to Independence.
I am Welsh no to Independence.

etc.
If the poll is to test water, then Wales will come out tops. Ok. I know the Scots think they have the best water in the UK, but that is a story put about by those who are of the opinion that whisky should only be drunk with Highland Spring Water........Tap water in Wales is the most purest in the UK. Furthermore there is some excellent Spring Waters in England and Church Stretton is possible the best. :-)
