Anyone finished this ? I have and think it's an excellent puzzle but am bugged that the solution isn't accurate enough for my liking. Also, anyone noticed the letters of the finder's name in the grid to the right or is that just coincidence ?

Sorry, re-submitted this as wasn't being picked up in Google.....but obviously is now.
Not clear what you mean by the solution not being "accurate enough" - seems OK to me. Only the setter can tell you about the name; I notice that the letters of a second name associated with the object also appear (in two disjointed chunks) on the right. It would have been nice to have had a few more parts of the object worked into the grid.

Hi

I may have misinterpreted the instructions but I drew a line through the blank cells, starting at top of 22D, to depict the object. As i read it, the four over-long clues, besides fitting into the 14-cell clockwise depiction of the object, yield the value of the object itself. This is not quite accurate....unless we're supposed to populate the intervening cells with numerals ? Presume the title refers to another type of number.
Gregsdad - you do need to populate the other blank cells as per the preamble ("by completing the blank cells appropriately by proceeding in a generally clockwise direction") - to give the accurate value.

As for the title think of the theme + number.

Hi Shikasta

Did think about that but it just seems to sort of jar with the clever wordplay and solutions to the four over-long clues. But thinking about it, it's more satisfactory than a boring line, so thanks. For the title I think we're talking about the numbers that result in hyperactive kids (supposedly). !
Have completed the grid and got the theme and value, but can't find what to highlight. I am assuming this contains a name but the only one I can find is not in a straight line and does not seem to be attached to anything. Where in the grid should I look?
Ok realised I just have to highlight the shape/value. trying to make it more complicated than it is.
