Try white pepper heavily sprinkled all around. Just have to keep redoing it after any showers/rain. Cheap to do and it works for me. Good luck!

Around your boundary you could plant prickly stuff. Cats dont like it.

You could spread orange peel on the beds. Again they dont like anything citrus smelling. I understand that lion poo may also work (contact local zoo).

A good old blast with a "super soaker" pistol or a hose pipe will often put them off. But you have to catch em at it and you have to catch them a few times.

Apparently there is also some sonic device you can get which will deter them but I have no idea how effective that is.

Difficulty is that once they have identified your garden as "their territory" it is the devil's own job to discourage them.
Or get your oh to wee around the borders of garden to mark his territory !!

Hello barmaid and murraymints bar getting a cat of my own i wil try anything it becoming a major nuisance now and disgusting thanks 4 ur tips wil keep u posted if anythindoes work becus others must ave this prob as wel manx thans
if you are getting a cat of your own and allowing them out, the garden will become their territory and there maybe a few fights. make sure its old enough to look after itself and if you give it a litter tray it shouldn't go and crap in other peoples gardens
I read somewhere that if you fill plastic 1litre lemonade bottles with water and lay them on their sides in the veggie bed, it spooks the cats. Worth a try??

Hi jennykenny that sound a gd idea and no chemicals involved either wil let u no how that works i wil try anything rite now thank u
I dont know how big your veg plots are, but I (or more properly, my long suffering partner) has made some triangular cages to sit over the veg beds. Whilst the plants are young they stop the cats getting on them. Once the plants get a bit bigger, they can be removed cos the beds are too full for kitty to use as a loo.

although to be fair, I have only put these frames over 3 beds. I have sacrificed 1 of them as a cat toilet for my own moggies.
