Just found this image on Google mapping, I believe its the rear yard of a farm situated in south Worcestershire. The plane marked with a red arrow looks like a rare Gloster Meteor. Anybody know what the other planes are?

Wonder what the Meteor is worth. It would be a shame if it just rots away
Ferlew, St Athans near Cardiff? I spent a week there ages ago when I was in the ATC. I still remember flying over the Bristol Channel as a passenger in a Chipmunk.

Dave that's a much better pic, thank you.
Just checked my log book, and it was Chipmunk WD330 (it looks like). The flight lasted all of ten minutes:)
Yes Stewey, St Athan's near Cardiff.
I was there in the 60's for my trade training as an airframe fitter.
They had a caravan/cafe just outside the gates that did some lovely snacks, after a drink or two in the NAAFI.
Some fabulous pics there sunny-dave, if not rather sad.
The 9th one down, with a D shaped yellow handle, reminded me of a scary little incident at RAF Syerston.
I regularly went up on early morning flights known as the 'weather ships'.
One morning, the pilot signed to take a Jet Provost out, knowing there was a possibility of a 'loose article'. In fact it was an indicator bulb cover.
He said nothing to me before flipping the plane over ( he had seen the cover on the floor, and by flipping the aircraft he was able to pick it off the canopy)
I just grabbed for something to hold on to, as soon as my fingers made contact, I realised what it was I had grabbed......it was the ruddy seat pan firing handle for the ejector seat. ooooooppppsssss.
Oh, and re the Chipmunk ....we were (in training) marshalling them up and down the runway.
Because of them having a propeller, the pilot had to weave from side to side to sort of see where he was heading. Scary to stand in front of one with bats.
thanks for posting the links enjoyed looking at the aircraft
Ferlew, my "Record of Service" book (yes, I still have it:)) indicates that the date of my flight was the 23rd of August, 1956; so, I guess we never met at St Athans:)
No Stewey, I didn't train there until 1962.
