On Wednesday night I had a raised temperature, shivers, just felt out of sorts. Yesterday I felt better but still "out of sorts" and headachy, today I have got slightly swollen glands and really sore gums and mouth. Don't feel ill enough to go to the doctors though. Just a virus do you think?

\\\\\Just a virus do you think?\\\

Yes, I do think and the diagnosis that comes to mind is Glandular fever, although i do not know your age or medical history.

No treatment, as the weekend is upon us, i would dose myself with Ibuprofen and monitor the situation.

If it was me. i would not seek medical help at this stage but you do what you feel happy with.

Thank you Sqad. I am 44. No medical problems thankfully. Just feel really "iffy" headache, muscle aches, tired and sore gums and glands. Feel better for a while once taken Nurofen. Still at work lol ! Thanks.
Thanks Denis.....a bit old in the tooth for glandular fever, but could well be a similar virus.

Carry on with the tablets and if at the beginning of next week, there is no improvement, then consult your GP.
