on a cake.? The butter has a yellow tinge even when you mix it forever.! when you add the navy blue paste colour in it goes an odd blue colour and yu can never get the proper blue.? I am making a cake for someone with the Chelsea football team colour and really do not want a terrible blue.?
Anyone else had this problem please.?

Try mixing just a little drop of black food colouring in with the blue. Labelled sell it.

If they support Chelsea they'll be used to terrible Blues.
You could try using a cream cheese icing instead of buttercream that would be almost white and give you a better colour. I have heard someone say goats butter is much paler almost white so you could try that but Ive not used it myself so don't know if that's right or how strong the flavour is.

Many thanks for your replies. I put the two colours together and made it the colour nearest to the colour I wanted. It looks ok to me. Just hope they like it . Brenda x
