Hi Abers

would like your help once again please

cut a long story short - I bought EE PAYG mobile top up vouchers in error for a total of £20 which I can't use (very annoyed with Asda)
I have already been to EE and Asda and neither will do a refund - one says go to the other & vice versa.

I am stuck with £20 worth of EE PAYG mobile top up vouchers and don't know anyone with them. I've asked on facebook too.

Does anyone know a company that will buy the credit off you - but I would like a tried & tested company someone has used.
I can take payment through Ebay too

Why are you annoyed with ASDA, Anna. Does that suggest they were at fault? If so, you should pursue the matter further with them
were they wrongly labelled, did an asda employee give you the wrong advice or did you make a mistake?
Why wont ASDA do a refund?
I'm surprised at that. I asked for Orange top up in Asda and was given 02. They corrected it straight away.
Maybe try a different Asda ?

I guess you either don't have a receipt or maybe Asda thinks as you didn't say a the time it's your own problem since they can hardly put it back on the shelf and resell it.

Individuals will be wary that they've been already used or nicked or stopped some other way. Maybe you need to find a family member or friend with a birthday coming up.
I don't understand why ASDA won't refund you, if you still have the receipt. When did you make this purchase?
Boxy...you could phone someone and give them the top up code and walk back in and change it.
No shop (or phone provider) will ever refund mobile phone credit because it would be easy for fraudsters to use the credit and then seek a refund.

Simply ask at work, or down the pub, who uses EE and what they'll give you for the vouchers.

Chris....I got mine refunded.
Ummmm:
If the assistant has made an error then the store is legally obliged to correct it. If a customer purchases something in error then there is never any obligation upon a store to offer a refund or exchange.
Ah - I don't know how it works, then - I'm not on PAYG.
Asda refunded my mobile credit by way of a voucher to spend in the shop.

thank you for all your replies

I bought the voucher a couple of months ago, Asda have now changed to EE network so I bought the vouchers thinking it was correct at the time. I got a free offer to welcome me and didn't need to top up. It is very confusing because it is still Asda vouchers that I need to purchase but with one tiny difference - this is not stated anywhere.
I know i am not the first to make this error and will not be the last.
Like I said they are passing the buck to get a refund which they won't do. Asda or EE don't want to know. I complained saying that it does not say anywhere that it's an Asda (the one with a tiny difference) which again I didn't know until the 'customer advisor' mentioned it - to which I said, this is the first that i've heard of this..................and they went all quiet - it isn't stated anywhere.
I realise that a significant time has elapsed since buying the vouchers but this all happened a couple of weeks ago when my free credit ran out.

So if anyone knows of a company that will buy back unused PAYG mobile voucher credit, I will be very grateful.

Have you tried emailing ASDA HQ customer service, not just going to the store? http://your.asda.com/section-contact-asda
