I recently referred to FileZilla FTP that would not work for me and Buenchico you kindly suggested Coffee Cup FTP. FileZilla has been uninstalled and I now have Coffee Cup, but am sorry to say I am going round in circles. In the left side panel I see my own files (which I recognise) and there are also several 'ntuser.dat' files but I don't know what they are and they won't delete. In the right side panel there are many image references and file lists, presumably relating to my own modest website, but they are not identified and if I want to upload something by dragging it across there is no room for it. Sorry if I sound a bit thick, but must admit age and time are against me - but I'll keep on trying.

Have you read 'Transferring files' here?

Many thanks Buenchico. There is so much to read and learn with something new. I think/hope I have managed an upload, not as part of my website, but just an isolated item on its own. I wonder if you receive it, I'll keep persevering- http://www.skeef.freeserve.co.uk/anthem/
Are you trying to offend republicans like me then Coldicote?
;-)

I'm glad that you're getting there. (It's actually several years since I've used Coffee Cup Free FTP myself, simply because I've not created any websites for quite some time, but I remembered that I'd found it fairly intuitive - which is why I recommended it).
If you use Firefox browser their 'Fireftp' addon is excellent and the one I use without problems
