/// Gromit...Labour may indeed come second but it will the the Tories that
lose. ///

Eh??????? isn't coming second also losing?

/// No-one on AB has ever used the term 'white savage' as that would be
racist. ///

Yes but that is not you said, let me once again refresh your memory.

/// I mean, unlike certain persons on AB, he has not referred to anyone as a 'white savage'. ///

That means to me that certain persons on AB have referred to some as a white savage.

/// You however, have used the term 'black savage'. ///

Once again please supply the whole text where I have used the term 'black savage' so as it can be seen that the phrase has not been taken out of context.

I myself cannot remember using the term, only when I have posted on a 'savage' attack or murder where it might have been committed by a black person, but then they would deserve this 'savage' definition being used as would white criminals who also carried out a savage attack.

No racist intention in this, only in the minds of those who constantly play the race card even in matters such as heinous crimes which have been committed.
To all those that are stating the obvious, that is "Lenny Henry was born in Britain"

No one is denying that fact and they only chose to read the first part of what he said ie

/// Mr Henwood told BBC political correspondent Ross Hawkins: "I think if black people come to this country and don't like mixing with white people why are they here? ///

This is the piece they chose not to comment on,

/// If he (Henry) wants a lot of blacks around go and live in a black
country." ///

Which as nothing to do with him being born here.
Labour came third in the Euro Elections last time. Improving to second is doing a lot better than being first last time and dropping to third this time. They were beaten by UKiP last time, so not much change.

It will be interesting if the only party promising a referendum, that will be able to deliver one, will have come third. The voting public is sending very mixed messages.

I do not agree with the Independent that being beaten by UKiP in this election will put pressure on Milband over his handling of this campaign and the general election. The two voting systems are completely different, and this one favours UKiP. And the general election will be fought completely differently.
Gromit...you have a very important point in your last post, about the two different voting systems, and it is something we sometimes forget about.

PR gives a very different result from first-past-the-post. Out of the 72 MEPs that we send to Brussels, it might come as shock to discover that 2 of them are BNP. Its impossible to think of a Westminster constituency that would return a BNP party member. Also the average turnout was only 34%, much lower than in Westminster Elections.

So we should be careful in making comparisons with May 22nd this year, and May 2015.

You used the term 'black savage' when referring to the killers of Lee Rigby.

At the time, I let it go, because I know that you were upset and this may have informed your choice of words.

Alternatively, you may have been goading me.

But my point is - Lenny Henry has never used terms that some would call racist. I have been out this afternoon, so I've not seen where you have proven that he *has* used a racist term - such as 'white savage'. I will check to see what proof you've submitted to prove that Lenny is as racist as...certain persons.
AOG

Just checked and cannot find your proof that Lenny Henry is a racist.

Also, I can't see any response to a couple of us asking how a programme can be ruined by the inclusion of black or gay people.
