Sometimes, it seems when the shower unit gets very wet, there is a very small green (like a copper green - something to do with the copper pipes?) seepage from the underneath of it. It is a new electric shower, fed straight from the cold water supply. What is it, and how concerned should I be? It's not that often, however when it has happened it is staining the grout in the tiles underneath. grrr.

Quite common with new copper pipes especially in soft water areas...simply a small amount of copper dissolving in the standing water. In a hard water area it will soon improve as the pipe becomes coated inside with insoluble compounds...but in a soft water area, you may be stuck with it.
Verdigris. Bond a natural corrosion of copper. Give the pipes a rub dry. removing as much as the green, polish with wire wool, and paint with varnish.
