DrFilth, So where are the bodies of these giant rats? I still think its nonsense made up to sell newspapers, I doubt this has come from any Pest Controller.

The so called "Super Rat" is a bit of a different subject, nothing super about them apart from resistance to some of the poisons used, that is a problem in some of the larger cities.

RATTER15 what do you want people to do

1, burn the dead body

2, mount the head and put it on display on the wall for the neighbours to see
If I found a giant rat or a "giant" of any species I would probably take it to DEFRA so it could be examined. Giants dont exist in any species except the odd example of humans that grow particularly tall due to a medical condition around bone growth.

Question Author
the artistic could stick it in a tank of formaldehyde
Search the DEFRA sites, there are plenty of articles around the rats being resistant to poisons but nothing on giant rats, why do you think that is?
The artist?

I would stick it in a tank of formaldehyde prior to having it stuffed and mounted.
im not opening any link where R*** are mentioned :( ugh !!!!!!!!!

ratter you have said it yourself above > I would probably take it to DEFRA so it could be examined. <

probably

i would think most people would want to "probably" get rid of it very quickly and not tell anybody that they had one in their home
anne, they are cute and furry creatures and a part of our wild life. I love rats, that is why I went in to Pest Control in the place many years ago, my fascination with rats.

OMG, no thankfully never seen anything that bad. It was horrible seeing that poor rat caught by its legs! should have been immediately dispatched.

I did go to a rat problem in a compost heap one, the compost heap was 3 feet high with all the gunge running out of the bottom, the problem was that the compost heap was in the middle of the ladies kitchen floor and it was heaving with rats. The lady clearly had a mental health problem. She also kept all of her hair in a big black dust bin that was also in her kitchen, the rats had chewed holes through the bottom of the bin and was taking the hair back to the compost heap to line their nests. That was one of the stranger jobs I went on.
Rats are so easy to control with poisons, mice are not so easy but very do'able and takes longer.
