How do you clean yours? Some people say don't wash it out with fairy liquid. Just rinse with warm water and wipe clean. Seems a bit odd to me!

I have a feeling there has been a misunderstanding somewhere along the line.

I'm not doing very good explaining this Wolfgang lol. My friend who is a chef told me to rinse my crockpot out with warm water and dry with kitchen roll, he said treat it the same way as ceramic pans. I'd never heard of this so I asked on here.
I wonder why.......

I think you're all potty! ;-)
I think the important thing is....don't use anything that could remove the shiny surface of the pot itself...so no harsh scouring etc.
I put mine in the sink with warm water and washing up liquid. As long as nothing breaks the surface, it's fine.
I thought it was cast iron pans you weren't suppose to clean with liquid.
If you look on the 'crock pot' website it says both lids and pots can be put in the dishwasher so I'm sure fairly liquid or similar won't do any harm.
