patchouli plant?

does anyone know where i can buy a patchouli plant from? or the seeds will do..the latin name is pogostemon heyneanus  i have allready looked at nickys seeds and jekka mcvicar...any help would be gratefully recieved..

mr fothergills or suttons are excellent for seeds. Your garden centre should be able to give you advice. Don't know if it's best to grow from seed or cutting though, sorry

Is anyone still after the patchouli plants? If so they can be bought on eBay - but be warned you will pay �10 - �15 there, whereas in fact they can be bought at a couple of mail-order nurseries for around half of that.


They are difficult to find I'll grant you that! Also there are at least two types: Pogostemon Cablin is the one you need. This is the one with the nicer foliage and fragrance. The other is called something like Pogostemon heyneanus (or something like that!) that one has a woody stem and is not so fragrant. I gather these are from the Lamiaceae family.
