stir is slang word for prison,and you stir porridge,also Porridge was the name of tv programme about prison.
Strange clue though 'demolished' is usually an anagram indicator,odd.

Well yes but no 'Head deletion' indicator either.
The prison was called Slade -(slayed)- as in destroyed demolished and Stir is slang for prison
