HI

I've been unable to work and in receipt of IB since 1990. In 1988 the company I worked for set up a personal pension plan and I opted out of serps and made a small monthly contribution to this plan (additional to the company contributions).

The plan is now worth a little over 7000....obviously I and my former employer have not contributed since 1990.

My question is....should I contract back into serps?

Realise I should have asked this question years ago....but the truth is I completely forgot about it!!!

Cheers

The current thinking is that where possible those people that have contracted out of serps for company schemes should contract back in. Why, and how you do it I'm sure lots of advice will follow.
