Laughing at the definition in Urban Dictionary! Not the best resource to get sensible answers but certainly one view of it and in some cases pretty accurate.

Trendjacking can mean many different things but essentially it means spotting a trend (whatever that may be) and attempting to use it in some way to market either yourself or your products usually via social media but it can be done in any number of ways.
