Thanks mamya , I see teh BAT bit now
Yes yes.
Did anyone ever find the answer to:
Don't worry about me (3.4.7) ?
If the letter count was incorrect, then...

I Will Survive, sounds a likely contender.
Thanks Mamya. I can't think of anything that fits that mentions Care, Trouble, Live Forever and only word that I can think of to start it is I'll.
Maybe I'll stop thinking about this one until Locker1 gets chance to post back.
Have been through my list and that is my best shout, yes best left until more word from OP.
Some of you might like it its the new folkestone lions quiz which is downloadable plenty of time closing date June

Thanks for your answers. I did think about The Mighty Quinn .
The letter count is correct for all. Would B A T be best action thriller?
"Breakfast at Tiffany's", Locker.
That would make George Peppard B A T man!
If the letter count is correct as (3,4,7) for "Don't worry about me" then I'm afraid I wouldn't get it even if I waited until June as I've been through my list of number one US and UK singles from 1950-80 in US and 1952-80 in UK (all charts) and i can't see anything.

I sorted alphabetically and looked for anything starting with I'll, It's, I've, You, For and The; then I went through the whole list. Last word could be Alright but that drew a blank.

I even wondered if it could Hey Jude (NaaNaNa).

I also wondered if it could be the incorrect title I've Been Waiting (For a Girl Like You) by Foreigner (waiting for a girl like you), but that was 1981.

So I'll just wait and see if anyone comes up with an answer
Last answer on this thread but only fair to add this..

//Dear Quizzers

Sorry this is a bit late, but our webmaster has gone abroad, and left me to do all the dirty work.
It's not too difficult this year, and I hope you enjoy it.
Best wishes to you all
Bill.
P.S Question 95-numbers should read 1.4.7.Apologies to those of you with the unamended sheet.//
Thanks Mamya. With a bit of luck lockeri will now be aware of the setter's error and can finish this off now.
I enjoyed looking through the US number ones list. I used to follow the US charts with Casey Kassem (that spelling looks wrong) in the 70s but had forgotten many of the songs that were big hits there but not here. I'd also forgotten that among all the AOR stuff, songs like Billy Don't Be a Hero and the Night Chicago Died (Paper Lace) and Saturday Night by Bay City Rollers made number one over there
