I am hoping that one of the good people on AB will be able to help.
I was quite poorly on monday and tuesday of thie week with vomiting bug, (stopped being sick on the monday but was still ill on the tuesday), went back to work on the wednesday and ate a good dinner (first proper thing) Thursday however i had a really 'rumbly' tummy and a fair bit of wind, which everytime i burped it tasted of rotten eggs (sulphur). i did eat something thursday lunchtime as i thought this may be the cause of the rumbling, but it just go worse and last night my stomach was so loud! managed to get to sleep last night, and woke up feeling alright, but after eating some toast and coffee the sulpher burps are back as is the wind and pain in my tummy.
Any ideas what it is? or what i could take to stop. I won't be able to get into the doctors now till at least Monday (at the earliest) - my doctors is rubbish

You haven't mentioned if you have had diarrhoea at any time this week and if you have any pars history of IBS, so I assume that both are in the negative.

On the basis of my assumptions above and providing that you are passing wind down below, I would nip to the chemist and buy Buscopan cramps and take as directed.

Monitor the situation for the next 2-3 days.
You may have acid reflux..try some Gaviscon.

Thanks people, had a small amount of Diarrhoea, but it didn't last long. Ive never had any IBS but my dad suffered from Ulcerative Colitis and had a illoustomey, so that is always at the back of my mind whenever i get tummy issue.
I have gone to get some Gaviscon, so fingers crossed this helps if not Buscopan will be next. Thanks so much for your advice it is always appriciated. Moo!
