Too much to think about?

It's something I've always done even when I was a lot younger! My husband get's used to being told his shirt is in the fridge (airing cupboard) etc.

I once pointed to a helicopter landing and called in a kangaroo!

It's something about having a mind that is constantly flitting about!!! Well, that's what I think anyway.

I presume you are female ronnie - perhaps it's something to do as spacechimp says, with having too much to think about!!!!

hey there 963.

there`s a song i know and like, that has a line in it that propably sums up 99% of the adult population.

the line goes like this "well i get to thinking maybe, thata too much thinkings bad"

i THINK we all THINK just a little bit more than we need to.

this happened to rik mayall when he had a head injury - have you had any bumps?

if it has recently come on i would see a doc

If you went to your GP he/she would have to refer you to a neurologist to test for neurodegenerative diseases such as dementia etc. I'd only do this if you experience a significant deterioration in short-term memory, ability to identify commonly used items and reaction time.

There is a myth that only 10% of the human brain is used at any given time. In PET (Positron Emission Tomography) scans for any activity including sleeping, the entire brain "lights up" in nearly every area indicating a great amount of cortical activity taking place during the execution of nearly all cognitive tasks. More than 60% of the brain is active even during REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep or dreaming.

We physically can't stop ourselves from thinking. It's a good point that we perhaps focus too much on trifles and don't rest enough but 'too much thinking' over-simplifies a range of problems.

Well, if you have kids that could explain it. Exhaustion? Thinking of too many things all at once? Or even boredom could be the reason. I've been there. Get up and go and stimulate your brain. Get some exercise (and rest) and get the oxygen circulating in your system. If it does'nt work - see the Doc.
Believe me ronnie, you are certainly not alone!

Don't worry ronnie, it's an age thing, you are not alone !

1: too much on your mind

2: Dyslexia ? thats only a guess on my part. dad does this and he is dyslexic. he does worse: gets my and my sisters names crossed

I'm bilingual (English & Welsh) & when I'm tired or stressed, I forget the word or only remember the Welsh: I've been doing this for years - note tired or stressed. I also tend to think that it's often to do with having too much to think about. I arrive in rooms not remembering what I came for - butI've done that since I was a teenager. I'm also lousy with names.

Get yourself checked out, but don't worry about it.
