Having bought a new computer and simply transferred the Hard Drives to the new system, I find I'm unable to use it as the computer insists I reactivate Windows 8 because, as it correctly says the windows Key ahs been used before. however I'm supposed to phone to reactivate Windows and they can't/wont reactivate via email. So, as I'm deaf what's the next move? I thought websites were/are supposed to cater for all disabilities (am I being a bit pedantic?) My OH idea of top of the range gadgets is to switch on the tv!! Is there any other method of activation please?

Presumably since you've been able to get on AB you have access to the internet. Found this on Microsofts website http://support.microsoft.com/gp/contact-microsoft-accessibility/en-gb It says you can email them. Perhaps they have a type phone? Or could you get a friend to speak to them for you?

Thanks Tuvok & hc4361 for your help, will give it a go, really appreciate your help
If your Windows 8 licence is an OEM from the original machine you would be in breach of the licence to put it on a new machine.

Good luck bluffing your way past Microsoft. (They are very poor you know and need every penny they can get).

Latest update, got the Windows 8 and by definition, Windows 8.1 working after email contact. Although it's only today that I've managed to get 8 to talk to my Canon scanner but, it still won't talk to my Canon printer! Still persevering with that. Thanks again for the excellent help from you both.
