Hi, I know a lot of people are having problems with it & I've found a series of steps on another website to install it which supposedly work, but to be able to do this I need to uninstall it completely from my computer. When I try to do this I get a message saying that I need to be an administrator, however I've checked the settings and I'm the sole user account and administrator on the computer? Any ideas to help me? Thanks in advance =]

I am about to take a deep breath and try to deal with the same problem, so good luck.

Stupid updates.

Managed to fix the problem, after rebooting my computer it let me uninstall all the apple products (so I don't know why it was harping on about me not being admin before, stupid thing!) and then installing iTunes is fine. Hopefully yours will be as relatively hassle free as that!
it isn't... I've uninstalled everything Apple but it's refusing to install Itunes again... I'm going to need professional help tomorrow...

Grrr!
just as I wrote that it sprang back to life and installed Itunes. I suspect it's an older version, but it works and I've disallowed automatic updates in future.
