I don't think so, where I work it's every couple of years.
I certainly didn't get training every year. I can't remember even doing the training more than once.
It would be your company policy rather than law and presumably you have to comply with H&S policies as part of your T&Cs. We have to do MHE every year and the slingers need refreshers every 3. Why argue?
Same as Prudie, where I work it is just refreshers ie overhead cranes, slinging and flt driving.
We had to do it yearly in care homes. We were told it was a legal requirement, but I've never checked.
Yes, could be a totally different thing in a care home as opposed to a factory.
It could be pixie, I've never checked either but a trawl through the H&S At Work Act might provide the answer. If I remember I'll ask the boring Compliance guys tomorrow :-)
