I'm not sure why Starr hasn't been charged ? The Police have had ample time to investigate and bring charges. I am not a fan of Starr in any shape or form and if he is guilty of any offences, he should feel the full force of the law. But to dangle him on a piece of string for so long doesn't seem entirely fair to me. All those others arrested at about the same time are now in...

Well that certainly supports a claim of 'asking for it' ! Great mitigation. Clear evidence of contributory negligence or behaviour on her part. And people on here are arguing whether the toilet , where she was led 'roughly' was for men or for women ?
A man intent upon sexual assault might not care which it was, but should have the common sense not to take a teenage girl into the ladies' . Somebody might notice any bloke, never mind a famous one, in the ladies, and point out his error, not to mention report anything else untoward. If he chooses the men's a) he has an excuse for being there b) it puts the girl in the wrong; whatever happens, she is in there, so "she must have consented"..If Mr Roache is guilty, it won't be for lack of premeditation.

AOG - just to conclude our debate about the facts of the case - I heard on P.M. on Radio Four last night that William Roache is accused of two separate incidents involving toilets at Granada studios - one in which he forced a fourteen-year-old girl into the Gents and made her perform a sex act on him, and one where he followed another female into the Ladies toilet, so it seems we both had factors of the same case.

Sir.prize...I wish I had your confidence about Plod working in these mysterious ways....I have a distinct feeling that all these sexual abuses cases are swamping poor Mr Plod.
Only yesterday it was reported that a serious case of peodphilia was uncovered in Peterborough. I heard a lady being interviewed on the PM Program yesterday afternoon who said that this case was only one of many in the Peterborough area itself alone, and that child sexual abuse was endemic across the UK. There appears to be a tidal wave of it sweeping over Britain. This is going to run and run I'm afraid, so Mr Plod may well need to recruit many more staff, just to deal with this one category of crime.
I wonder how that is going to work in a time of wide-spread savage cuts in public expenditure ?
