Can anyone tell me if its ok to plug a 4 socket extension lead into another 4 socket extension lead. Basically I need an extension lead for my tv and freewiew box but don't have one long enough, I do however have two 1.5 mtr 4 socket extension leads .. can plug one into the other for permanent use without over loading them . Would it be ok to use like that? Anyone please advise.

You can chain as many extension leads together as you like, as long as the total load doesn't exceed 13A. Since you don't seem to be considering using any high-powered equipment (such as fan heaters) with them, you'll have no problems.
The connections in those can be a bit flaky. It's not the best thing to do for desktops etc, but no overloading concerns. The plug at the head of the chain has a fuse, usually 13A. You'd be unlikely to exceed that. If you do, it just blows.

As a well known engineer once said, Buenchico, 'ye canna change the laws of physics' and he worked in the aerospace industry. I'll side with you. :)
