Both myself and my Girlfriend are planning to give up our jobs come August and travel the world. I am a former journalist and now an FE lecturer in Sociology and media, with a PGCE in Post compulsory education. She is also a journalist with a post graduate qualification. We want to go to South America, and or Africa. Does anyone know of any jobs availible either there or anywhere else? Any help would be gratefully recieved.

I did a quick Google search using "working abroad" pages from the UK only and came up with some interesting stuff. It gave me a mixture of information and agencies.

You might want to consider volunteer work. Bed and board is usually paid for.

I am currently living in china and it is fantastic. If you want a job teaching english then they are really easy to come by if you are a native speaker. the money is good and really enjoyable-if you have the right job!

Thanks Suaver, but do you have a TEFL qualification, and would you advise organising work before you go out and if so how?
