From April 2014 Microsoft Updates will no longer support XP. Does anyone know whether anti virus and adware progs ie AVG/Malwarebytes will also be withdrawing support to users of XP.

I have XP and am not necessarily wanting to update to Windows 7 or 8.

Thanks for advice.

AVG and Malwarebytes will still continue to be updated and afford protection to XP even although Microsoft is withdrawing support.
Cheers sir.prize. If I had XP it would be retained by me after next April, because it was one, if not the, best of Windows. Whatever you do, stay away for as long as possible from Windows 8..8/1. I reckon your computer will 'give up the ghost' before you need to get shot of XP.
