Payment Of M25 Tunnel/bridge Toll

As we were sitting on the M25for 2 hours today, surrounded by hundreds of other cars, all waiting in the queue to use the tunnel, my grandson asked me what would happen if you did not have any money to pay the toll when it was actually your turn to pay. We did not know the answer - does anyone else.

in October 2014 the barriers are to be removed and you will have to pay the toll by text, phone, online or in local shops.

that will be too complicated for oldies like me I shall use the Blackwall Tunnel. its free and without hassle.
What is going to happen to the people at the toll ? will they loose their jobs ?

We used one of these tolls whilst in Dublin during the summer, bloody pain in the bum remembering to pay when you get home. They'll earn a fortune in fines!

it's certainly not going to be easy finding a local shop in the middle of the bridge, Dee Sa. Yes, I expect sacking people is the object of the exercise, it usually is.

probably not so difficult for those who are used to paying the congestion charge in Lodnon, rocky. At my office people were always swapping rings to make sure they remembered to sort it out before midnight.

When we drove through the toll in Dublin I put an alarm on my phone to remember to pay it.

I don't use the Dartford crossing very often so I'll be one of the unlucky sods that forgets to pay.
