Tv Set Top Boxes One Off Buy Then Yearly Subscription, 100,s Channels ??

hi,
i have heard that you can buy these new tv - sky boxes for a one off fee £100 i think it was plus a yearly subscription of £60 . apparently the guy comes out, sets you up with a sky box/dish then you recieve 100,s of premium channels . is this true ? is it illegal as i would imagine that using a sky box without sky knowing about it is illegal .

does anyone know of any tv box/dish i could get to give me 100,s of channels ? we are with virgin and tv is awfull for the price we pay per month

We're with BT vision and we get shedloads of channels with our subscription - we don't use most of them so I couldn't tell you how many. We paid £49 for our set top box, then it's part of our internet subscription.

Surely the £60 yearly subscription you'd be paying would be to SKY, who else would it be to?

A freeview box will do virtually the same thing with no subs.

yes it is a seperate question. in this topic i am asking only about these boxes you can buy, i think they are seperate from virgin/sky etc. i do not know how they work, who sells them etc but i have heard from a few people in the past that they have them, ive lost contact with the guys who had them ( ex work mates ) but i know these boxes are out there somewhere so someone must know about them, i am just curious as to how they work.

Hi my sister got in sky £150( I think) it was a one off payment no yearly or monthly payments loads of channels. She is very happy with it. Just contact SKY they will explain.
