The correct answer is TENET - Red faces all round?
Maybe because the answer has been on this site since 16.30 on Saturday!

Actually, crofter, I looked up Tenet Principle and it appears to be an arcitectural term, whereas several sources confirm that the answer is, indeed, Peter Principle.


So, I have learned EVEN more than I expected today - so far!!

kayakamina - I only get to the internet on a Monday morning and, despite trawling through the answers, I possibly miss a few. it's probably an age thing - so have a little pity!!
I went with the definition in my Collins dictionary which gives an identical definiton to that printed in the Telegraph. Will I win the �200 though!!!!!
PS I meant to say Peter Principle! Apolgoies for a rambling last posting. I'm having a 'Grey' day!

Sorry MagsE. The way that the posting reads, I thought that "principle" was the clue - not part of the answer. Also knowing that the solution is of the form (5,9) is also a bit of a give away.
