I was wondering if it would be OK to take my dog into my local. I mean it is well behaved besides I have seen other dogs in pubs - but I'm not too sure really. Is there a law or is it just for the landlord/lady? Many thanks.

It is down to the landlord, we take ours in some pubs but not others. No laws.

Oh my Khandro, were they acting like children?
We take our dogs to pubs in the new forest, one of us always pops in first to check but most are welcoming. They sit quietly under the table and mostly no one even notices they are there until we leave with them. Would that it were so with most of the kids that we encounter. Making them sit under the table might be a step too far, although....
What does behaving like children mean? Because I'm pretty sure when I was a kid and presumably behaved like one I would never have dreamed of running about screaming and shouting and climbing on the tables.
ummmm; From your comment "were they acting like children?" Shall I take it you find bad behaviour in public acceptable ?
