I heard he'd been drinking probiotic yoghurt. That's what you get for dealing in Yakult......

I've always tended to view them in this manner:

"Tell me you didn't actually voluntarily buy a ticket."

Actually, yes. We thought it would be funny - and we weren't wrong.I don't think we were the only ones who bought tickets for that reason, either. While there were "true believers" in the audience (including the poor woman who had lost a child), there were a fair few guffaws and suppressed giggles throughout.

He was also quite clearly drunk in the second half, which was amusing.
And nobody has brought up Derek Acorah's finest hour ;)

krom

Actually...I did!
How does he keep a straight face?
Oops. Sorry SP.
I love the still shot in your link Kromo - looks like he's had a bad attack of wind!!
An old jest. But a medium is not the same as a fortune teller.
Krom, that is one of the funniest things I've watched in ages! If some people find comfort in shows like his, good for them. I, for one, think it's the biggest load of tosh and he is probably one of the worst of the rip off merchants. It makes me wonder though, if there is a spirit world, when he pops off and gets up there (assuming he does) will there be a queue of disgruntled spirits ready to give him a rollocking for telling the world about what they've been getting up to in the heavens?
If I were a spirit, I'd be questioning why - out of the population of the planet, my representative and link is a creepy mincing preening (alleged) drink-driving Scouse twonk!!
On a related note, as I'm sure many of you are aware, Sylvia Browne died a few weeks ago. (Un)remarkably, she had indeed predicted her own death - for 11 years later than it actually happened:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/11/21/sylvia-browne_n_4317470.html

Browne's list of life achievements include:

Telling the mother of a missing child that her daughter was dead (she wasn't, and the mother died before this was actually discovered)

Giving another parent of a kidnapped child a completely false description of his captor (oh and wrongly claiming he was dead again - you'd think she would learn)

Charging police services hundreds of dollars for her "services" on numerous occasions, despite being a convicted fraudster(!)

All harmless fun though. :)

Me too AH.

Kromo, having joked about on this thread, that is precisely why I despise people who make money, and become 'famous' out of people when they are at their most vulnerable. I don't know how they can sleep at night after giving people false hope or leading them to believe there is no hope. Despicable.
