I have a Kindle which is great for reading in normal daylight, however it is not so good in artificial light & it annoys my wife when I have the bedside lamp on & she is trying to sleep. She has a Samsung Tab 2 7.0 which is very good for reading.

My problem is what should I buy. I do enjoy the occasional game so a tablet has its attractions

Get a kindle paper white...it can be read in any light situation. It's what I got when I found my much loved nexus7 was useless in sunlight.
What about one of those clip on lights that attach to the Kindle, my mum has one because the lamp annoys my dad.

Tried a clip-on light & although it appeared to be a lightweight before fixing it on, it became very tiring on the hand & arm after you have been reading for a while. Because the weight is at the top & you tend to hold the Kindle towards the bottom, this exaggerates the effect very considerably. (third order lever?)
But thanks for the thought.
