i will ask first of all i realise my stupidity and understand that i need a punishment and am looking for advice on what may happen.

my first conviction for dr10 was 4 years and 11 months ago and was fined and received a 12 month ban.( no incidents, accidents)
i was arrested this week for a second dr10 but also being charged for 2 incidents of dangerous driving and failiure to stop at the scene of an accident. The accident was with another vehicle with driver and passanger nobody was hurt
i understand the seriusness and stupidity of my actions and am seeking help for alcohol issues.this has realy taken a toll and shocked me and am scared i have a wife and 3 young children who depend on me and although i have failed them i do not want to be taken away from them.
so if there is anybody out there who knows the likely hood of a custodial sentance please reply.

I can't say for certain but I know people that have been caught more than twice and still didn't get a custodial.
My daughter got six weeks jail,3 months tagged and 3 years ban!!!
She got done for dangerous driving under the influence of alcohol, not stopping, carrying on with the police etc etc.
Most embarrassing and upsetting time for us all... she has learnt her lesson and has got on top of her drink problem...has only six months left to get her licence back.
My step son was jailed for three months earlier this year for drink driving, failing to stop at the scene of an accident, refusing to give a sample, refusing to stop for police, he was let out after six weeks on tag, which remained on for a further six weeks.
Enlist with Alcoholics Annonymous, attend meetings for proof to the judge & you may just lose your licence for 1y.

Before you have another drink THINK of your dependant kids!
The Magistrates Court Sentencing Guidelines are available online at http://sentencingcouncil.judiciary.gov.uk/docs/MCSG_Update9_October_2012.pdf

Refer to page 120.

I advise that you get a good solicitor as custody is certainly an option available to the Court.
A jail sentence is a possibility , but you can only get a max of 6 months for a driving offence , unless it is for 'death by dangerous' or manslaughter.
Any sentence of 4 years or less gives automatic release at the 1/2 way point , so 6 months is only 3 months inside, in addition to this you will be eligible for early release 'on tag' for the last month.
In reality if you do get a 'custodial' it will only be 3 weeks , give or take a day 'Inside'. So not the end of the world.
