Hi! My friend is due to go for surgery this week to have the tubes running from her sinuses to her ears stripped (is it rhino surgery? Something like that) as they are totally blocked. I want to get her a get well soon present but at a bit of a loss of what to get. She has to avoid dust as much as possible for the first 2 weeks so didn't want to get her flowers because of the pollen. Didn't want to get her some pampering gifts incase the scent caused irritation, and i dont think she will want to be soaking in the bath to begin with. Not sure how well she will be able to taste or chew (due to pressure) so not chocs. I would be very grateful for any suggestions been racking my brains but can't come up with anything other than the usual.

Many thanx :)

Thanx, I was thinking of some magazines or puzzles. I wanted to get her something that may be of comfort to her in the first few days as I presume she will be very swollen and puffy. I thought of a refreshing eye mask (not sure if she will be allowed something like that tho) and maybe some fluffy socks or something.
what about a book or music c d
Bedsocks, baby wipes for face freshening (I imagine they'd be ok to use), scent free moisturising cream for hands and elbows, tangy sweets like Opal Fruits.
A nice bottle of champagne for when she's feeling a little better
it depends how much you wanted to spend but heres an idea
a cd of her favourite band and inside the cd case put tickets to that band/singers concert. she would really appreciate that

Thanx for all your brilliant suggestions!

I think I will put her together a little basket of non-scented goodies, magazines and puzzle books and a bottle of something for when shes feeling much better. Thanx again everyone :)
