I saw an episode of this in which the main character G Callen was shot from a passing car. Does anyone know if he was actually killed. I couldn't believe it and thought he would be merely injured and would miraculously recover, as they usually do in this kind of series. I can't remember which episode it was, could have been the final one. They are, of course, doing repeats and he is appearing in all of the ones I have seen so far - it is really intriguing me so if anyone can enlighten me I shall be very pleased. P.S. I know it's rubbish but I like watching rubbish.

Thank you so much, Chris. You are not only clever but very knowledgeable in diverse subjects. I have read your link and found it very interesting. It's really miraculous how these super heroes recover from multiple wounds, but I am glad he did. Don't know how the series could go on without him!
I love NCIS and especially love Tony di nozzo. Callan survives..,. just . I've just found out (spoiler alert) what happens next series (9) and who lives, who dies, who gets written out. It'll be shown here in the new year I believe. I LOVE NCIS. I don't think it's rubbish. I've watched every episode from the start including the first 2 series with the annoying Kate . I wasn't sorry when she got killed off and was replaced with the wonderful Ziva.
He survived! That was the last episode of the first series wasn't it?
It's not rubbish, it's entertainment, and if you were entertained then it succeeded. I love all of these NCIS shows
Haven't seen NCIS Los Angeles, but it wouldn't have surprised me if he had been killed. NCIS has killed off two of it's team, both Kate (agent) and Jenny(Director) have been shot on duty so they're not afraid of getting rid of important and popular characters. I must like rubbish too, I think it's one of the best programmes on TV.
What about ducky? He was left lying on a beach last episode...
He's fine Minty. I watch it on Fox on Sky, we're a series ahead of Channel 5
Phew...glad about that...rather fond of old ilya kuriachen !
He's my favourite too! Ah, the Men from U.N.C.L.E ... happy days!
NCIS ,I like both, cannot get on with CSI stuff too much flashing and not much action. mRS.B has trouble keeping up but then I had to explain the plots in Crossroads.
Queenofmean is bereft! Her favourite CSI New York ended last week, and coming after the demise of CSI Miami she spends her time mooning over her boxed sets! Sadly she didn't really get into NCIS Los Angeles, but is often inclined to tune into Gibbs et al
Do you want to know who lives and who dies in the next series? I also wasn't sorry when Jenny got killed off. She was such a bad actress and acted with her pouting painted on lips and strangely large bosom. Mind you, Leon Vance is a strange character isn't he? Don't like him, don't trust him.
"That was the last episode of the first series wasn't it?"

No, it was in the pilot episode[s].

'NCIS: Los Angeles' was introduced via the "backdoor" of 'NCIS' series 6. The double episode pilot (Legend Pt1 and Legend Pt2) ended with Callan's shooting, but he was fighting fit for when the first series of 'NCIS: Los Angeles' started proper.

Whoa!!! I didn't realise how many liked watching the same things as I did. So it isn't so rubbishy as I thought then and I need not hang my head in shame because I watch such trivia. I also watch Bones, The Mentalist, Monk, NCIS, Hawaii Five-O and various others of the same kind. Well, it keeps me quiet.
I think that one thing that those programs are so good at is telling a story anf getting on with it.
We love Hawaii 5-0 too! Queenie never misses it - she's even bought me the boxed sets at Christmas presents, though I suspect her motives weren't all that altruistic! Haven't watched too much of Bones recently, but daresay we'll catch up
I recently 'discovered' NCIS via 5usa( amazing what a new telly introduces you to ;-)) )... I also returned to all the CSI programs. Trouble is,I've no idea what order they are shown in...but I still enjoy the escapism. My new fav is ' Person of Interest'....think that's it. I like Jim Caviezel....sigh
