Funny how all the big energy companies don't want to put up their prices,but do!
Funny how they all put their prices up for the winter!
Funny how the government don't care a monkey's Sugar about old people!
The only ones not laughing are the pensioners!
They were good enough to fight for their country but not good enough to look after in old age!!
And they call this...Great Britain! No question here,just a statement!
I'm not a pensioner,just believe that they deserve better!

The energy bills are bad enough but it's the standing charges and the VAT which are the real killers. Both should be abandoned immediately and we should ONLY pay for the gas and leccy we use.

Hi Wimp......I'm usually in a good mood......I don't bother with the clocks as a rule....since retirement I don't change them and just guess at the time mostly.......UNTIL!!! A "friend" decided to put an end to this by buying me a large wall clock that automatically changes time....someone with a magic wand in Germany does it apparently so......
I am going to peel off the numbers and move them about!! That'll sort him.......☺☺

Hate clocks too, hate the ticking of them,hate them in a room.don't even wear a watch!As for my subject..as far as I can see the only winners are the energy companies!
PS...I've suggested a few ways of keeping warm this winter to Mrs wimp(i'm not that old yet) that went on deaf ears!lol

my husband was one of 6 boys and 3 girls , all the boys were in the war and the girls on munitions duty. Luckily ALL of them came home, some wounded etc., and now my husband is the last surviving member of his family and his opinion of this country to-day cannot be written down ! Why did we lose so many good lads to trade for what we have to-day. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I agree with you, Gness about fleece not being a substitute for heating, but it makes you feel so much better and warmer anyway, most elderly people do not wear appropriate clothing for cold weather.
