When Towing A Caravan With Your Car And You Have An Incident Or Accident Who Is Liable

e have a company car and a caravan both we thought were insured. whilst travelling the caravan wheel flew off hit and damaged another car.the caravan insurance wont pay out as we were towing? the car insurance are saying it should be caravan insurance. is there a special insurance to cover towing?

You should have "Touring Caravan " Insurance,which will incorporate Third Party cover,usually up to £2,000,000.

Your Third Party Liability whist towing should be covered by the insurer of the tow vehicle unless specifically excluded

With respect Elaine, you should have checked that out before you started your journey, Insurance is a minefield when it comes to paying out.
