Can anyone tell me how to highlight text on an iPad in order to copy it?

You have to press and hold a word until it is highlighted in blue. If you want to highlight more text then drag the sliders over the whole text you want to copy. Then when you release your finger from the page a box pops up which you Tao to cut, copy, paste or define.
