I keep hearing about this book so might pick myself up a copy and see what the fuss is all about. Has anyone here read it? What did you think?

I don't know what it is with me but I'm always put off by books based in America. I can't explain why.

I didn't know it existed till you mentioned it. Have just checked it out on amazon and am very deeply disinterested.

Hmm. Ok then.
"The lengthy and complex work takes place in a semi-parodic future version of North America, and touches on substance addiction recovery programs, depression, child abuse, family relationships, advertising, popular entertainment, film theory, Quebec separatism, and tennis, among other topics." No not read it. Thought you were having a laugh :-)
"Quebec separatism"

I was borderline but that sold it me...

Sounds like just the book for insomniacs.
Sounds like something I'd use to prop up a table-leg....
Sounds like it'll be remaindered rather quickly.
it's not that easy to pick up a copy, you may need a small crane
Amazon readers seem to like it...guess it depends on what you want from a book.

Sometimes 2 covers and a few pages is enough.
