Am awaiting two guys re new or planning of new kitchen. Whilst I have ordered silver appliances ie dish washer and fridge freezer - would like to brighten it up ie a little more colourful.

Went to usual sites to look for perhaps dark green microwave - none to be seen - would like green toaster and kettle. You know what I mean. Can't find anything to suit - it is early days. Apple Green seems to be latest but I don't think I like apple.

Have you looked on Amazon ?

yes I have murray, Argos, Ebay, Amazon and Currys - perhaps eg in Currys you can SEE a better range - they can't put everything online. Thanks for enquiring.
Does IKEA sell appliances ?
Question Author
that is a place I have been to - may try there - Ach I am sure something will turn up. I have told myself to be chilled throughout all this as I hate getting work done on the house.

Murray - my neighbour down the street got charged £600 for 6 men to come and paint and decorate her house downstairs hall stairs landing (in one day)

^^^^^ sorry never been there
£600 ? Eek....!! I did my own stairs landing and hall in half a day...for only cost of paint !

murray - should have mentioned large living room - kitchen - dining room downstairs bathroom - painted and papered - they provided the paint and paper too.
Oh well that's better....would have been even better with the 60 minute makeover team ! Lol...
Will dark green appliances really brighten up a kitchen though?
I don't know that dark green's an "in" colour at the moment - it all seems metallics to me. Red, orange, purple kettles, toasters, etc.
This may be a 'male' thing - but surely people should be selecting appliances based on what they do & how well they do it .... rather than on what colour they are?
Avocado is one of those colours that comes into fashion then goes out to be mocked. Give it a couple of decades and it'll probably be back.
it's usually the other way round, connemmara, they can put much more online than they can put in shops.

Agree with B00, dark green isn't bright. How about

I am almost sure that Argos has a range of kitchen appliances in bright colours.
Colour trend comes and goes, you should give this colour thing a bit more thought. Be more practical...
The trouble with buying small appliances in the "in" colour is that they won't all give up the ghost at the same time. So your green toaster (supposing that you actually find it) will need replacing before the microwave and/or the kettle and the green will no longer exist so you'll be left with a hotch-potch. Better to stick to white appliances and add a splash of colour with accessories e.g. washing up bowl, tea-towels etc.

Well took a run up to Currys - I have now my eye on a silver microwave with a matching kettle - they look really lovely. Don't forget my dishwasher and fridge freezer are all silver/stainless steel.

Also one of my venetian blinds is broken in living room so ordered 2 new ones (have two windows) - then a I saw a lovely washable blind - beautiful with little diamonds along bottom for the new kitchen. "blind" man is coming out to measure up on Friday. I sure am going to be busy within the next few days. I had to remember so much I am writing it down. LOL
