can anyone suggest a digital compact camera that has a viewfinder

Panasonic LF1 around £330. Electronic viewfinder, so all information is displayed in it (shutter speed, aperture etc) and you can see exactly what will be in the final photo.
Canon G15 (soon to be replaced by G16, so £30 cashback until end of month), around £350. Normal viewfinder with no info in it and is not as accurate and gives no idea of how the final picture will look.
If you want a viewfinder there is very little choice.

I've just noticed your previous post - Panasonic has 7x zoom, Canon has 5x zoom.
