Does anybody have a Halogen Oven and if so what are your views on them. Aldi have one this week on the special deals for £30 and i'm not sure if i should buy one or not. I have seen them for sale on the tv shopping channels and they think they are brillant but then they would think they are great because they are trying to sell them.

many thanks

I love my one...saves using my big oven for small items. Also it is instant heat no need for heating up time.

thanks for your reply Giggsie, i think i might give it a try.
How is a halogen oven better than a combination microwave oven which has 2 modes of heating?
I have seen them in the shops and they are quite cheap. But if I was to buy one, it would go the same way as the bread maker and ice cream maker...gathering dust at the back of the cupboard.
I bought one from Asda the halogen light broke whilst under guarantee and got my money back. It was okay but took up a lot of space in my small kitchen, though its supposed to clean itself find it quite fiddly to clean it properly. Used it quite a lot until the novelty wore off.
I have the JML halogen a little more expensive but I would not be without it now. It does the same as oven and can cook a whole dinner just the same as large oven. As I live on my own I don't need to use my large oven unless family are here. Been using mine for 2 years now no problems but if you buy these cheaper makes you get what you pay for . Halogen ovens and microwaves are completely different.
